Diane Citrino Salutes Toledo Fair Housing Center

Toledo Fair Housing Center officials welcomed Gustavo Velásquez, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Assistant Secretary for Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity to the agency’s 40th Anniversary Gala and documentary premiere at the Valentine Theatre on Thursday evening, April 23. Nearly 400 people attended the formal event.

Diane Citrino attended and informed La Prensa:  “I was inspired to see the sweeping scope of what the Toledo Fair Housing Center has accomplished from its founding to the present. It is always good to be reminded how together we can accomplish so much in the fight for housing justice.” Attorney Citrino speaks Spanish and has handled numerous housing cases involving Latinos.

Diane Citrino Quoted in Nexis Legal Newsroom Article About Deflategate

On May 15, 2015, Giffen & Kaminski Partner Diane Citrino was quoted in the LexisNexis Legal Newsroom Labor and Employment Law Blog, Criticisms of Deflategate vs. Domestic Violence Punishments Ignore Critical Fact, by Author Lorene Schaefer.

In the article Diane Citrino explains: “In today’s digital age, text messages exchanged at or near in time to the incident are gold.” In the “Deflategate” investigation, text messages relating to a Patriot’s staff person calling himself (or herself) “the deflater,” were the type of critical evidence evidence that “was not typically available in the past,” says Citrino. Citrino agrees that the “DeflateGate” investigation’s conclusion that Brady was uncooperative was on point. Indeed, the lack of cooperation suggested that Brady had motive to hide the ball, not just deflate it.

Jan Roller Joins GK

Giffen & Kaminski, LLC is pleased to announce it has added Jan L. Roller as a partner in the law firm. Primarily interested in trial work, Roller’s professional focus is on persoJRoller-2719_193x234pxnal injury and medical malpractice litigation.

Prior to joining Giffen & Kaminski, she successfully defended cases involving catastrophic injury and allegations of wrongful death, defamation, and employer intentional torts at the law firm of Davis & Young.  She started her career as an Assistant District Attorney of Suffolk and Plymouth Counties in Massachusetts from 1979-82.
